Four months of intense refurbishment updated one of the most historically renowned restaurants in our country. Its gastronomic legacy continues in this new stage, preserving the classicism of a cuisine of obvious French ascent, while striving to remain faithful ­to the avant-garde cuisine that was always linked to the philosophy of this establishment, were Benjamin Urdiain achieved three Michelin stars in the year 1987. A difficult balance achieved thanks to the tenacity of our great professionals and the efforts of our exceptional lounge staff. Efforts that have been rewarded with several references in leading guides such as “Les Grandes Tables du Monde”.

The renovated venue continues to convey the unquestionable elegance of the establishment and providing the comfort and intimacy that our guests deserve. Now with a more prominent bar where your experience may begin or end, Zalacaín seeks to reinforce the impetus of his experience as it does in the other areas where natural light, for the first time in its history, assumes an important role. A new actor that is undoubtedly the guiding principle of this new chapter.

Decor

 

Architect and interior designer Raquel Castellanos, who heads the team of ‘LaFinca Arquitectura y Diseño’, is responsible for the great physical change of Zalacaín, where light is foremost and appears as the guiding principle of the various areas.

In the choice and use of materials, the natural silk wall coverings are outstanding. Innovative design with textile and metallic accents. American walnut root veneers provide warmth and elegance to the various lounges. Natural stone used in representative features provides uniqueness and a sculptural character. No detail in Zalacaín is random.
